Privacy

We collect the minimum we need to send you matches. No tracking pixels. No third-party advertising.

What we store

• Email address — your account identifier and the channel for sign-in links.
• Saved filter — brands, year ranges, price caps, mileage caps, and countries you set on /app/filters. Used only to decide which new listings to send you.
• Push tokens — for web push and iOS APNs notifications. Generated by your browser or device, stored only to deliver alerts you opted into.
• Quiet-hours window + timezone — to respect when you don't want to be alerted.
• Match dispatch log — which listings we sent you and on which channel. Lets us avoid duplicates.
• Sign-in operational logs — IP and user-agent on sign-in attempts, retained 30 days for abuse / rate-limit forensics.

What we don't store

• No passwords (sign-in is via a one-tap email link).
• No browsing history outside YallaMachines.
• No advertising pixels, no analytics tags, no tracking cookies.
• No sale of your email or any other data — ever.
• No location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or biometrics.
• No payment information — YallaMachines is free during v1.

Where it lives

Postgres on Hetzner Online GmbH servers in Germany (Falkenstein region), under a data-processing agreement. Encrypted at rest and in flight. EU-only — no replication outside the EU.

Notifications cadence

We bundle pushes hourly and email a daily summary at 08:00 your time. Quiet hours, when set, suppress both channels until they end.

Cookies

One first-party functional session cookie carries your authenticated user ID, signed with a server secret. A second non-personal device UUID identifies your push subscription. No analytics, no ads, no third-party trackers.

Deleting your data

From Settings → Account → Delete, or by emailing operations@yallamachines.com. Your filter and channel settings are removed immediately; your email is anonymised on the same request and the anonymised row is purged after a 30-day grace period. Backups roll over within 30 days.

Your rights

• Access — request a copy of your data (email operations@yallamachines.com).
• Rectification — change your email by deleting and re-signing up.
• Erasure — delete from the account page or by email.
• Restriction / objection — disable any channel from settings; object to processing by deleting your account.
• Portability — your saved filter is JSON; we can export it on request.
• Complaint — to your local DPA (operator's: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).
